In 2002 Antonio and Tomaso Monestiroli founded Monestiroli Architetti Associati, which changed its name to Studio Monestiroli in 2018.
The work of the studio is carried out in the continuous interaction between research activities and professional experience. The studio deals with all phases of architectural and urban design, participating in numerous national and international design competitions, in collaboration with public institutions and private clients. Among the main achievements of the last twenty years are the fifth extension of the major cemetery in Voghera, the new railway station in Pioltello, the parish complex of San Carlo Borromeo in Rome, and the Planetarium and Science Museum of the city of Cosenza. Studio Monestiroli’s work has been exhibited in numerous national and international group exhibitions including the Venice Biennale and the Milan Triennale, and the subject of monographic exhibitions in major European university venues such as Berlin, Delft, Venice, Naples, Rome, Florence, Syracuse, Pisa, Mantua and Milan. The studio’s projects and works have been published in national and international journals as well as collected in various monographic publications.
